  • SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and referral to treatment) is a comprehensive and integrated approach to identifying and providing services to individuals with substance use disorder, as well as to individuals who present as being “at risk” to developing substance use disorder. Th goal of SBIRT is to reduce and prevent health related consequences, disease, accidents and injuries that might be related to substance use. The goal of this training is to provide an overview of this evidence base approach to health care providers, nurses, social workers, and other community workers so that this continuum of care can be applied.
  • This training session will also educate healthcare providers about proper usage of Narcan in preventing opioid overdose-related mortality
