Services + Programs
Recovery Is Beautiful NWPA offers many types of free activities for individuals in recovery and, in some cases, their families.
Activities include peer support, family support groups, life skills groups, and sober social events.
Many of our activities are now offered online. We will continue to offer virtual opportunities to help you stay connected.
We offer transportation services to help participants take part in program activities. Let us know if you need help when you call your local county office to sign up for activities.
To take part in our programs, call the office for your county: Erie 814-451-2241; Crawford 814-724-4100; Venango 814-432-9100.
All supports and activities are free.
Individuals who enter our support programs will receive detailed information about these experiences. Specific locations and details are sent directly to participants to maintain privacy.
Peer or One-on-One Support
Peer support is for women at any stage of recovery from opioid use disorder.
We also help women who have experienced other substance use disorders.
The Peer Support Program connects individuals in recovery with Certified Recovery Specialists. This specialist is someone in recovery who has received specialized training to help others. They understand that there are unique challenges to entering recovery. They share inspirational and supportive experiences. They offer women and their families mentorship, education, support, and guidance.
Life Skills Groups
Spend time with women and families in our Life Skills Groups. These groups encourage personal insight and empower women to remove barriers and meet recovery goals.
Rock’n Recovery — a weekly group program for individuals in recovery.
In this program, we review topics like:
- How to budget your finances better
- Alternatives to pain management
- Case management services
- Building healthy relationships
- Success in the workforce
Most of these activities are virtual, although a few are in person (noted on the calendar).
Growing Together — a group for individuals in recovery and their families.
They meet online every week and talk about things like parenting and social development, stress management, and family strength skills.
The Family Support Group meets every other week online to offer education, comfort, encouragement, and support from others who truly understand.
Our Women’s Support Group is for individuals in recovery. We meet weekly, in person, or online. We talk about red flags in recovery, how to cope with past trauma, and dealing with impulsiveness. We also work on Vision Notebooks.
